One Night in Ramadan

I love it when I visit my phopo's (my father's sister) place. There is a feeling of togetherness that I am grateful for. I don't usually get excited for social gatherings, but there is something about being with family in Ramadan on a beautiful Summer day, doors cracked open and good food cooking in the background that is beyond special. No matter how much we as a family could be closer outside of Ramadan, are too busy for each other--these gatherings are a lifeline. Nontheless,  I am reminded to be grateful for the fact that my family manages to make an effort to share their homes and food with each other. It makes me want to widen my capacity for generosity beyond this month. I tried to pour the  joy I was feeling this day in to my camera as much as I could. Here are some of the photos from this awesome night.
